Tales for Peace Magazine

In the last post on our blog we want to make a short summary of our adventure, Tales for Peace. We have made a magazine that reflects some of the experiences of these two years, and we leave you a link so that you may download it if you fancy.
We just hope that this experience has made us all more European citizens, and especially citizens of the world.

End of Tales for Peace Project

With the arrival of the new school year, the time has come to say goodbye to our Project Tales for Peace. They have been two years full of illusions, new experiences and important learning experiences for all.
We hope the ties and the interests that have been built up over these years remain in time helping us all  become more and more European citizens, and especially citizens of the world.
From here we want to thank all the students who have taken part in the Project. Congratulations on their interest, effort, skills, excitement, cooperation and hard work.
We also want to thank the school authorities for having allowed this Project to be carried out.
Finally we would also like to thank all the teachers, who in one way or another, eased the participation of the students for their support and contribution: Ana Rifón, Alicia Vázquez, Arantxa Concheiro, Felipe Sar, Vicente Agrasar, Mónica Trigás, Daniel Baldonedo, Isabel Riádigos, Mª Luisa Fernández, Manolo Campos, Javier Varela, Noelia Casal…. And we’re sure we’ll leave someone out.
Thank you very much!
Thanks everyone for your selfless  help!

End of Tales for Peace Project

Our students of 4th ESO have made some videos and power points giving their opinions about the project Tales for Peace, the first one our school has been involved in, and which is about to be over. They have tried their best at everything and we want to congratulate them from here. We feel proud of what they all have done so far.

In these videos they speak about the things they are for and against and the things that could be improved.
One thing is clear for all of them: all of them have loved the project and have been happy to join it. They all would have loved to be the ones travelling during the past two years. They keep in touch with their host families, and the ones who couldn’t travel keep on being in touch with the foreign students as well.
Thanks to it, this summer the first exchanges will be made in our school!

Thank you indeed to all our students and congrats on their hard work, excitement, cooperation, interest and interest. All of them have made this project possible. Thanks so much!

As for the videos, the first position goes to this video, made by some of our students of 4th ESO B, who went to Jablonec  with us last March. They tell us about their experiences, and the ones staying here also tell us about the way they felt staying in A Coruña.

The second position goes to three students of 4th ESO A, one of them travelled
with us as well.

The third position goes to a student from 4th ESO C, who stayed here and who I think that he has been very brave to have done it by himself.

It has been a pleasure to work with all of you, guys!

23rd March: The return

The families took our students to the school of Jablonec, which was the meeting point for our trip back home. It was a sad moment as goodbyes are never pleasant, but above all, we left with the idea of seeing each other again anytime soon and really happy over the experiences we had shared along the past days.
When we got to Prague’s airport one last surprise was awaiting us, as our friend Maty had driven all the way just to say bye to us! Thank you, Maty!

We spent the rest of the day flying from one airport to another, waiting on our planes… We were finally happy again when we got to A Coruña’s airport and our families were there waiting for us and really looking forward to our telling them about our wonderful adventures!
